About Tri-State

The Tri-State Adoption Coalition (TSAC) consists of 24 member counties in the Cincinnati Tri-State area. TSAC was formed in early 1997 and became incorporated in May, 1998. We were created due to a need to develop innovative ways to increase recruitment efforts of prospective adoptive parents. With the number of children available for adoption increasing, it became apparent that alternative efforts were needed. Please note that TSAC is not an adoption agency.

How Tri-State started

The Cincinnati Division of Wendy's International, the marketing division for Wendy's Restaurants, approached Hamilton County Juvenile Court, wanting to partner in the efforts of adoption. However, they wanted the involvement, and ultimate benefit of any efforts, to be shared among the Cincinnati media wide area. Thus, the coming together of public adoption representatives from 23 counties in Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky, Southeast Indiana, and private non-profit adoption agencies in the same area.
