Our Philosophy

TSAC chose to adopt the same philosophy Wendy's International uses when advertising their restaurants; more can be accomplished and recruitment increased if we pool our resources. By pooling resources, we not only increase the amount of money which can be spent, but also have greater impact of raising awareness concerning the need for adoptive parents for our children. A benefit of partnering with a major corporation, such as Wendy's, is their various business connections. By having a strong relationship with Wendy's, have been able to utilize these connections. TSAC holds an annual fund-raiser in June of each year. Our Wendy's Celebrity Cookoff at Benihana Japanese Steak House has been a huge success. Because of our relationship with Wendy's, we have also been the recipient of other donations by businesses which work with Wendy's. We are currently promoting the sale of the "The Guardian", a wildlife print by renowned nature artist, John Ruthven

TSAC believes that all children deserve a permanent, loving family. We pledge to unite with the business community to increase awareness of adoption issues and to educate businesses and their employees of the critical need for adoptive families, with the goal of recruiting potential adoptive parents. It is our belief, that, in time, we will be able to alter the perception of special needs adoption from a "social service issue" to a "community issue". "Community" is defined as large and small businesses, churches, schools, and individual involvement in recruitment of perspective adoptive parents.

TSAC has it's own Executive Board and two committees, The Tri-State Adopts Leadership Team, and the Adoption Community Team. It is our goal to fill the Tri-State Adopts Leadership Team positions with experienced members of the business community and with community volunteers, in hopes of moving this issue into the community spotlight, while our Adoption Community Team will work together to facilitate our understanding of issues of importance to people interested in special needs adoption.
