To all who came out to Support the Wendy’s Celebrity Chef Cookoff ~ with your help we raised more than $58,000 to support the outreach efforts of the Tri-State Adoption Coalition!
On June 10, 2008, local celebrities joined Honorary Chair and NFL Hall of Fame member Anthony Munoz to “cook up” some awareness of foster care & adoption at the 12th annual Wendy’s Cincinnati Celebrity Cookoff.
Held at the Benihana Japanese Steakhouse in Tri-County, Celebrity Chefs included Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis, current and former Bengals players, and the BenGals cheerleaders. Ultimate Fighting Champion Rich Franklin and “All My Children” actress Kimberly Young also joined the festivities ~ along with dozens of other well-known personalities from sports, TV, radio and the political arena.
The evening featured dinner cooked teppanyaki style by our celebrity chefs, with help from Benihana’s expert chefs, plus a silent and live auction. A fun and exciting way to fund programs that help find forever families for children!
The Celebrity Cookoff has generated more than three-quarters of a million dollars since we started in 1997, benefiting the Tri-State Adoption Coalition and the children available for adoption from foster care in the tri-state.
Proceeds from the Celebrity Cookoff are used to support signature programs of the Tri-State Adoption Coalition (TSAC) including Tri-State Adopts!, The Heart Gallery, and The Tri-State Adoption Fair and Conference, which will be held at The Vineyard Community Church in Springdale, Ohio on October 25th.
